Meet the Planner
Is there anything better than getting friends and families together in one location to celebrate love? I don’t think so!
However, I firmly believe that a truly magical event goes way beyond just the gathering. It’s the aesthetic of the setting, the music, the flowers, and all of the fine details that go into the event that create a truly memorable occasion. So let me help create those memories for you and your loved ones! After working in the event industry for 17 years on various social events (Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties, Fundraisers, Galas, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, and last but certainly not least Weddings, Weddings, Weddings…. did I say weddings?) I have witnessed firsthand how stressful planning these events and bringing everything together can be. That’s when I decided that with all my years of experience working on various occasions, I know what it takes to pull everything off without a hitch! I love meeting new people, listening to their stories, learning their visions, and making them happen. The best feeling in the world is seeing someone’s vision and dreams come true before their eyes. I strive to make planning events as fun and nonstressful as possible for my clients. So lean on me and let me carry the heavy load. Together we can create memories that will last a lifetime!
FAQs
How much does a wedding cost?
Every wedding and couple is different! No two weddings are alike, just as no two couples are alike, nor are two wedding budgets alike. I encourage my clients to come up with an amount they feel is reasonable to spend on their wedding - a place where their comfort zone, financially, remains intact. We work from that number to develop and design a wedding that is right for them.
Do I have to _____________?
Usually, the answer is no. A wedding is a specifically defined event in most people's minds couples need 'permission' to go off-script. They need the planner to help them realize they can call the shots and make the wedding exactly what they want it to be.
Do we have to invite the plus one?
Certainly not. However, it is a nice gesture if your budget and venue capacity allows for it. Celebrating your love and union can be even more enjoyable if guests have the ones they love by their side.
How do we find the best venue?
It depends on the size of your wedding and location, of course, but we recommend reaching out to several venues for quotes to get you started. Once you've narrowed it down based on budget, we highly recommend visiting the venues in person to get a sense of the ambiance and décor possibilities.
Should I have a band or DJ?
Nothing kicks off a wedding reception like a live band. A short and lively dance set before dinner can start the night off on a high note and set the tone for the rest of the evening. If budget, musical preference, or variety is a concern, consider transitioning to a DJ for the post-dinner, open-dancing portion of the evening.
Should we have an open bar?
You know your crowd best, and if they are not much of a drinking group, then it is understandable that you may be hesitant to invest in an open bar. However, even people who don't drink on a normal basis are apt to want to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne at a wedding, and it's a generous gesture. If budget is an issue, consider an open bar for the cocktail reception only.
